What it does
Everything Expenssa does for your business.
01
Record money in plain words
Choose income, expense, transfer or bill. Expenssa writes the double entry. Your accountant can still work in journals.
02
Receipts read from a photo
Take a picture and the supplier, date, total and tax printed on it are read for you to check. A receipt sent twice is flagged.
03
Banking
Import a statement, match lines to what is in the books, explain the rest, and reconcile each account.
04
Sales and purchases
What customers owe from your CRMpire invoices, with ageing. Bills with approvals, supplier payments and staff expense claims.
05
Nigerian tax readiness
VAT and WHT worked out from the rules in force on each date, a PAYE calculator, a CIT estimate, a filing calendar and the pack to file.
06
Plan and report
Budgets, a cash-flow forecast and repeat entries. Profit and loss, balance sheet, ledger, ageing, cash flow and budget against actual.
How it works
Up and running in three steps.
01
Start with Covorn
Covorn sets your business up on COVORN and switches Expenssa on, with a chart of accounts ready.
02
Set your opening position
Enter your opening balances, add your bank accounts, and complete your tax profile.
03
Keep it current
Snap receipts, import statements, and post what your other apps send over.
Connected by design
Works on its own. Better with the rest of COVORN.
Every connection below runs today. Anything that reaches the books arrives as a draft for your accountant to post.
- From CRMpire to Expenssa
CRMpire issues an invoice or takes a payment
The sale, its cost and the payment arrive as drafts.
- From StaffSage to Expenssa
StaffSage approves a payroll
One draft journal: gross pay, PAYE, pension, NHF and net pay.
- From Inkeepy to Expenssa
Inkeepy receives stock or pays a supplier
A draft bill at the cost on the order, or a draft payment.
- From Expenssa to PersonalTab
A bill or expense claim needs approval
The person who approves sees it in PersonalTab, under Waiting on you.

Your business, kept in order
- Nothing posts by itselfEverything from your other apps arrives as a draft. A person posts it.
- Posted means postedA posted entry cannot be edited, only reversed, so the record always shows what happened.
- Closed periods stay closedOnce a month is closed, nothing more is posted into it. Only an accountant can reopen it.
- Your money stays yoursExpenssa records and reconciles your money. COVORN never holds it.
Questions
The short answers.
Do I need to know accounting?
No. Record income, expenses and bills in plain words and Expenssa writes the entries. Your accountant sees the full journals.
Does Expenssa file my taxes?
No. It works out what is due, keeps the calendar, and prepares the pack. A person files it on the NRS or state portal.
Can my accountant work in it?
Yes. Give them the accountant role: they post, close months and see everything. A bookkeeper records and matches, and cannot reopen a closed month.
What happens to invoices from CRMpire?
Each sale, its cost and each payment arrive as drafts. Your accountant posts them, and receivables stay up to date.
How do I sign in?
With your COVORN email and password, or Continue with COVORN if you are already signed in to the Business Suite.
